THE LINE REACTOR SKI BINDING
...THE FUTURE JUST ARRIVED!
The LINE Reactor binding rocked the ski industry when it was unveiled at the UK snowsports trade show, winning the Snowsports Industries of Great Britain Innovation Award. Now at last it will be available from selected UK suppliers this season.
Ski binding technology has changed little in 20 years but a revolution is now underway. LINE's Reactor binding, designed by Dave Dodge (former Head of Research and Development at Burton Snowboards), offers a host of revolutionary design innovations including safety features, improved performance and easy transfer from one pair of skis to another with nothing more than a Philips screwdriver!
REACTOR 10 & REACTOR 12
The Reactor Binding comes in two versions with different DIN ranges:
|
- The Reactor 10 binding: £169
DIN: 3-10
Sole height: 32mm
Off ski weight: 1800g (1/2 pair)
Sole lengths: 270-340mm
- The Reactor 12 binding: £189
DIN: 4-12
Sole height: 32mm
Off ski weight: 1800g (1/2 pair)
Sole lengths: 270-340mm

The Reactor binding is sold with a standard size brake. An extra wide "Fat Brake" for skis with waist widths from 85mm - 100mm is available (RRP: £14.95) providing "on-the-go" interchangeability using a flat head screwdriver.
KEY FEATURES
Pivogy - the Reactor's Pivogy system is the world's first and only binding technology that features a dual pivot. This dual pivot technology enables the binding to accurately read and react to forces along the entire length of the ski resulting in a dramatic reduction in torque to the knee during backward twisting falls, lowering the risks of ACL injury (The School of Superior Technology, University of Montreal). Quickmount - inserts in the ski (as used on snowboards for years) mean that anyone can now transfer their Reactor ski bindings between different skis easily - so skiers can own different skis for different conditions, and simply move the bindings between them. Think about it… now you can own skis for different conditions with just one pair of bindings… revolututionary! Please click here for more information.
Powerframe - the rigid aluminium Powerframe and central mounting enables centralised power transfer and unrestricted ski flex… meaning that unlike with other bindings the ski doesn’t have a huge dead spot in the middle. Instead the ski boot rests on the Reactor’s stable, solid, flat platform completely independent of the flexing ski below. Now the ski can perform as it was designed to do. Please click here for more information.
I.R.S. - the innovative Inboard Retention System provides superior boot retention by placing the lateral toe and heel release pivots under the ski boot. This means the ski boot is constantly centred in the binding, significantly reducing the likelihood of unnecessary early release. Please click here for more information.
All the adult LINE Skis and Skiboards come with the screw inserts pre-fitted for fixing the Reactor binding but they can also be fitted as normal with any other ski binding from any other manufacturer.
USING THE REACTOR BINDING ON NON-LINE SKIS
Skis made by other manufacturers can also be fitted with the Reactor binding using LINE's Freedom Plate which can be wood screw mounted to the non-LINE skis by a Shop technician using a Freedom jig. This means that any skier on any skis can benefit from the safety features, retention system and interchangeability of the Reactor binding, the only thing you won't get are the same ski flex provided by the Powerframe.
The Freedom Plate provides the freedom to upgrade all brands of skis for compatibility and interchangeability with LINE's Quickmount binding mounting system and is available from selected retailers, RRP £19.95.
