"THIS PLACE IS SOOOO COOL, YOU SHOULD BE HERE!"
[Well yes, thanks Darryl, if we could we would be!]
Having graduated this year from Southampton Uni, British Uni Freestyle Champion 03 Darryl Ball (recently seen in action on his Mothership Flites at the Daily Mail Ski Show in London) has flown to Whistler with his mate, fellow graduate and newbie ski photojournalist Dan Carr and other Brit LINE crew members Rick and Jane, to get work and hang out for the season... check out the first photos of Darryl at play by clicking here... and read about it below:
"It snowed last weekend (30/31 Oct 04) so we've been sessioning some rails with the locals - the French Canadians are so sick! Also did a photo session with Dan in the kiddies playground - it was hilarious! The only way to get onto this rail was for two of my mates to lift me onto a bar which is about waist height, then I'd sit on their shoulders, get my poles ready, and then drop off it, lipsliding onto the rail which is only 2m long, while Dan sat in a tunnel underneath taking pictures.
"Apart from that, i haven't been doing much, everyone's just hanging around waiting for the season to start. we find out about jobs on monday, then I'll be able to apply for staff accomodation, right now I'm sleeping on people's couches - freeloading ex-student!"
Darryl promises to keep us in touch with what he's up to... bastard!
Dan's photos will be appearing on his website at: www.whistlerdan.com.
