The DirtTribe Freeride Mountain Bike Adult July Summer Camp is open to men and women from anywhere in the world, aged 18+ years, who love mountain biking with a passion.
Camp dates: Saturday 14 July 2007 to Saturday 21 July 2007.
WHAT MAKES A DIRTTRIBE MOUNTAIN BIKING CAMP SO DIFFERENT?
 The DirtTribe Freeride Summer Adult Camp has grown out of our experience running camps in various sports and our own frustration with the normal package holidays and long Summer holidays spent hanging around at home killing time when not riding.
Now you can spend a week in an incredible mountain environment where mountain biking (along with snowsports) reigns supreme, with massive investment every year in awesome downhill, dirt jump and trials tracks and features... and the best coaches on hand to help you learn and refine your technique, build your fitness and stamina and progress your overall riding to the next level!
The beauty of the DirtTribe Camp concept is that we offer fully residential holidays for 18+ year olds... so you can come away on your own or with friends and have an unforgettable time... mountain biking every morning and afternoon (if you want to) and also doing multi-activities when not riding or resting. Non-residential places are also available.
WHO COMES ON A DIRTTRIBE CAMP?
 We run sports camps and holidays throughout the year open to people of all ages, sizes and abilities. On our camps we have had people aged 10 to 50+ years old, guys and girls. We have had relatively inexperienced riders and players through to sponsored Pro riders.
You will be free to choose each day what kind of riding you want to do. Groups will be mixed age and sex but will normally be grouped according to ability/level.
As long as you are a competent cyclist and reasonably fit, have a positive friendly attitude and want to learn and help others learn, you will not feel out of place at DirtTribe.
IF YOU ATTEND WITH FRIENDS CAN YOU RIDE WITH THEM, EVEN IF SOME ARE "ADULTS" AND SOME ARE "YOUTH"?
Friends or families of different ages wanting to ride together during the Camp are very welcome.
It does not matter if you are in different age categories (Adult and Youth), you can still ride each day together - assuming you are of similar ability and fitness. Just book the relevant Camp according to age and write on the booking form the names of the people you are booking with. (Family/friends on fully-residential places can share rooms too.)
We are very flexible. If you come on your own (as at least 50% of riders do) we guarantee you will make loads of new friends in no time; if you come with people you know we will make sure you get to spend plenty of time together on bike and off. Either way we will do whatever it takes to help you have a great holiday, take your riding to the next level and have lots of fun!
 WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE FULLY RESIDENTIAL ADULT CAMP?
The DirtTribe Adult Summer Camp is great value for money, all of the following is included in the Camp residential price:
- 7 days of accommodation and food:
We will be staying in the Hotel La Belle Etoile and its sister hotel. We know the La Belle Etoile well, it is an excellent base with friendly staff, good food, comfortable rooms (you will share with other participants your age on the Camp) and some great facilities including table tennis and pool tables, a swimming pool and tennis court!
 6 day lift pass:
Your lift pass is included in the price! This gives you full access to the mountain. We use the lift system to get the bikes to the highest parts of the mountain, from which we then ride down at top speed! Back in the resort the lift pass also gives us access to mountain bike trails, freestyle features etc and to loads of activities like swimming, climbing, football, beach volley ball, mini-golf, trampolining, ice skating etc. There will even be an opportunity to hit the snow if you know how to ski or snowboard and don't mind hiring the equipment.
- 7 days of expert coaching by our DirtTribe Coaching team:
We carefully select our team of Coaches based on our personal knowledge of Pro riders and instructors in the UK and abroad, and based on recommendations from people we respect. Our Coaching team are not only some of the best professional mountain bikers around, they are also excellent teachers and very friendly! They share your passion for riding and they love to help others learn. They also have loads of personal experience and stories to tell. By the time you finish the Camp you will regard them as your friends and want to keep in touch with them after the week is over.
 Freeride mountain biking all morning, and all afternoon if you want!:
There is a great freestyle bike park in Les Deux Alpes, constantly expanded and improved every year. Laid out by Carmine Falco (the professional rider from Les Deux Alpes who has already won the four cross French cup) and located at the heart of the resort (served by the Lutins drag lift), the specially designed area for freestyle is suitable for beginners and experienced riders and is just one part of the mountain bike area. Last year they added five new slopestyle modules, increasing the number from fifteen to twenty. Among the obstacles there are bumps and wooden bridges. There is plenty of investment happening for downhill too in an areas that counts thirty runs extending over 140 kms! Depending on what you want to do each morning and afternoon you will be allocated a Coach who will spend the session with you, giving you tips, encouraging you, pushing you and occasionally help you up and dusting you off!
 Special competitions and races, plus freebies!
During the DirtTribe Summer Camp you will have the chance to test yourself against the mountain, the features, your own best times and the other riders on the Camp. Whether you win or not, it's all about achieving progression and that's what we will be looking for and rewarding... with plenty of swag and giveaways on offer!
- Multi-activities programme:
Off bike in resort there is a huge range of facilities and activities for you to try with your new friends in the afternoons and evening, all included. You can kill time waiting to get back in the saddle by trying your hand at everything from swimming and ice skating to mini-golf and trampolining, to tennis and beach volleyball, football, bowling and biking etc etc! We challenge you and your fellow Campers to take on the Coaches at anything... you haven't got a chance ;-)
- Souvenir Movie and Photographs:
We will put together footage and make it available on YouTube etc afterwards, and we will also have professional photographer Rick Hutchings on hand to take some shots of everyone on this year's Summer Camp 2007;
- Video review:
Our Coaches find video review very helpful in explaining how to improve your techniques. We will have video cameras on hand to record you in action and video review sessions for each group to fully exploit the benefits of this learning method. (It's also great fun seeing yourself and other members of the group in action when you get back to the hotel to relax!);
 Prize giving:
At the end of the week we have a prize giving session to recognise the good, the bad and the downright ugly (riding that is!) over the week of DirtTribe! So whether you're the most improved rider on this awesome Summer Freeride Camp, or the person who did the biggest smash, you stand a chance of going home with some swag in your bag!

The only things not included are your equipment and your insurance. (If you don't have your own you can hire a mountain bike, protective gear etc in resort no problem.)

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DAY NON-RESIDENTIAL ADULT CAMP?
Everything detailed above except accommodation, breakfast and dinner, evening activities/excursions. You will need to arrive in the morning in time to leave with us, we will finish in the early evening.
HOW DO YOU PLAN TO GET THERE?
 Transportation to and from the UK is not included so you are free to make your own arrangements for travelling from wherever you live in the world to Les Deux Alpes in France, arriving in the afternoon on the Saturday and departing the following Saturday (ideally in the afternoon or evening).

If you are planning to arrive by plane into Grenoble or Lyon cities/airports we can arrange your transfers to and from resort for you. (Grenoble is the closest airport.) The cost is £55 return. This can be booked using the booking form or separately nearer the time of travel, depending on availability. Alternatively you can get local buses from the airport via Grenoble.  RETURN COACH FROM THE UK
If you are traveling from the UK optional return transportation to and from the UK by Executive Coach (or Minibus) accompanied by Tourparty staff is available for the July Summer Camp, but we cannot transport bikes.
This will be a "door to door" service, the coach/minibus will start in Edinburgh early on the Friday and make pick-ups at service stations along the M1, M25, M20. We will arrive in resort early afternoon on the Saturday.
For the return we will leave late afternoon on the Saturday (making drop-offs along the M20, M25 and M1) arriving back in Edinburgh on the Sunday evening.
It is a long journey but nothing like as far as going to Austria or Italy and we always find it a lot better than we think it's going to be!
As we are traveling overnight you can sleep through most of it and watch videos the rest of the time or talk to new friends. We will take plenty of rest stops too.
Places on the Tourparty Coach from the UK can be booked for £105 per seat now using the booking form or separately nearer the time of travel, depending on availability. Unfortunately it is not possible to carry mountain bikes on the coach (these can be hired in resort or shipped separately), though snowboards and skis can be carried.
RESORT INFORMATION
 A world of alpine mountain biking and approved by the French Cycling Federation, the Les Deux Alpes areas is an ideal adventure playground for fans of adrenaline pumping action on two wheels! There are 2 permanent tracks and 21 pure routes for Downhill, 7 cross country trails and a big freestyle Bike Park (offering boardercross, dirt, 4 X etc)... Les Deux Alpes can truly offer everything for everyone who loves to ride!
The resort is also the choice location for serious mountain bikers and fans who get together for the Le Mondial Du Vit, a massive mountain biking festival held in June every year, and a number of international competitions held over the Summer.
For the more experienced riders there is also the opportunity to set out and conquer famous mountain passes... Galibier, Lautaret, Glandon, Croix de fer, Montgenevre etc!

Family and friends are welcome to visit Les Deux Alpes at the same time as the Summer Camp and to watch you race or learn tricks when on the lower slopes near resort.

PRICES
The price for the fully-inclusive residential July Summer Adult Camp package is just £445 for everything, except travel to and from resort. Or £425 for returners and adult relatives of someone paying full price for a residential or non-residential place.
The price for day non-residents will be £295 (or £275 for returners and adult relatives of someone paying full price for a residential or non-residential place) for a place on the Tourparty Camp, Packed Lunch and 6 day Lift Pass.
You can book on the return coach from the UK (as described above). The price is £105 return.

By booking places on the Adult July Summer Camp 2007 you agree to these conditions which include:
- The DirtTribe Adult Summer Camp 2007 is open to men and women aged 18+ years from any country. The main language for the Camp is English.
- Before travel the player must hold a valid passport and, if not an EU national, he or she must have the necessary visa to enter France (if one is required). We cannot accept responsibility for the costs arising if permission to travel is refused due to lack of necessary documentation.
- We regret we cannot reserve places without a completed booking form and deposit/payment. (In the event of cancellation after 1 June 2007 a £250 cancellation fee will be retained to cover administration and cancellation costs, the remainder will be refunded in full).
- Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We cannot accept any more riders once these places have been fully allocated.
- We reserve the right to change any aspect of the Summer Camp without warning, provided it does not change the nature and spirit of the trip.
- In the unlikely event we are forced to do so, we reserve the right to cancel the Camp; in such circumstances we will give as much notice as possible and a full refund on or before the start date of the Camp. We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred and recommend you take travel insurance.
