SKIING HOLIDAYS AND SKI CAMPS WITH TOURPARTY
INFORMATION ON HIRING / RENTING SKIS, SKI BOOTS, SKI POLES (SKI EQUIPMENT)

You may wish to bring your own skis, ski boots, ski poles and/or protective equipment (helmet, protective body armour etc) or hire / rent in resort.

Airlines will carry skis, ski boots, ski poles etc but increasingly with many airlines (especially the budget airlines) you have to pre-book "sports equipment". Ensure you do this as you may not be able to travel with skis etc if you do not, or it may be a lot more expensive to pay for them when you get to the airport.

It is a good idea to pack your ski bag with other items like clothing etc - even better if you have a double ski bag. Be careful with ski boots in your "hold bag" (you may also need to pre-book a hold bag in the case of some airlines) as ski boots can take half your weight allowance and you can't put them on separately with some airlines without incurring an extra charge for additional sports equipment).

LINE Camp 2006-2007Our resorts can offer equipment rental and servicing. Ski and ski boot hire normally ranges from £60-£120 (85-170 EUR, $120-$240 USD) depending on the level and quality of the equipment. Helmets are also available for hire.

[For those not involved in the Tourparty Camp you can also arrange ski and snowboard lessons easily with a local ski school. You can choose from private lessons and morning and afternoon group lessons. Generally morning ski school costs in the region of £90-£100 (130-145 EUR, $180-$200 USD) for adults and £70-£80 (100-115 EUR, $140-$160 USD) for children, morning snowboard lessons cost in the region of £100-£110 (145-160 EUR, $200-$220 USD) for adults and £90-£100 (130-145 EUR, $180-$200 USD) for children.]
