You may wish to bring your own snowboard and snowboarding boots and/or protective equipment (helmet, protective body armour etc) or hire / rent in resort.

Airlines will carry snowboards and snowboard boots etc but increasingly with many airlines (especially the budget airlines) you have to pre-book "sports equipment". Ensure you do this as you may not be able to travel with snowboard etc if you do not, or it may be a lot more expensive to pay for them when you get to the airport.

It is a good idea to pack your board bag with other items like clothing etc to spread the weight. Many budget airlines are very strict on the maximum weight allowance for your "hold bag" and will charge extra if you exceed it.

Les Deux Alpes has a large number of services, shops, facilities and ski schools. Snowboard and snowboard boot hire normally ranges from £70-£105 depending on the level and quality of the equipment. Helmets are also available for hire.

For those not involved in the Tourparty Camp you can also arrange ski and snowboard lessons easily with a local ski school. You can choose from private lessons and morning and afternoon group lessons. Generally morning ski school costs in the region of £90-£100 for adults and £70-£80 for children, morning snowboard lessons cost in the region of £100-£110 for adults and £90-£100 for children.
