 RHUK's residential and non-residential inline roller hockey holiday & Summer Camp packages offer top quality coaching and instruction, fun and friendship. These international holidays and Camps have been designed to suit everyone - individuals of all ages from 10+ years to 17 years from anywhere in the world who are looking for something a bit different to the normal Summer holiday or who want some high quality coaching to improve and learn new skills and techniques, as well as make lots of new friends having a great time. No question it beats hanging around at home all Summer watching TV!
 The common language on our holidays and camps is english but you only need basic english to participate and people of all nationalties are welcome to attend. (We also offer optional conversational English and Spanish tuition and classes for those who want to improve their language skills as well as their inline roller hockey, for more information click on the link to read about our optional foreign language classes in English and Spanish.)
We run our football (soccer), inline hockey and basketball holidays and Camps at the same time in the same location so you can come with your friends and have a great holiday together while getting top quality coaching in your favourite sport.
EXPERT COACHING FOR INLINE HOCKEY PLAYERS AND HOCKEY NET / GOAL MINDERS
 Our inline roller hockey coaches are highly experienced, expert inline hockey coaches who are passionate about the game and love to play themselves too. They like nothing better than sharing their experience and knowledge, meeting new players of all levels and playing hockey 24/7. They are relaxed and easy going, friendly and welcoming.
Previously our Coaching Team has included excellent players/coaches and "good guys" Andrew Sillitoe, Jonathan Maw, Andy Assa, Luke Woolgar, Dominic Browne, Rollo Grice, DJ Stanway and James . Brent Pope is an excellent example of the calibre and experience of our Coaching team each Summer...
 Brent Pope, our Head Coach in 2007, is an imposing figure, both in stature and experience. He has played high level ice hockey in the North American ECHL and AHL after signing with the Edmonton Oilers in 1992 and played for the Ottawa 67’s, Wheeling Thunderbirds and Cape-Breton Oilers before coming to the UK to play for the Cardiff Devils, Nottingham Panthers, London Racers, Hull Stingrays and most recently for the Slough Jets. His long playing experience also includes a former role as Assistant Player/Coach with the Tallahassee Tiger Sharks and the Florida Everblades of the ECHL in 2000/01.
 Off-ice Brent has also played high level roller hockey for the Ottawa Wheels, New-Jersey Rockin’ Rollers and Long Island Jawz in the former RHI.
Brent’s coaching experience includes being Bench Coach for the Cardiff Devils (British Knockout Cup Winners 2007), Head Player/Coach and Director of Hockey for the Romford Raiders, Head Coach for the Best of British Ice Hockey Camps, Head Coach/Director for the Cardiff Devils Hockey Clinics and an Instructor on the Can/Am Hockey Camp in Guelph, Ontario where he played for the OHL’s Guelph Storm.
 He also has media experience too, having been the BBC Sport Ice Hockey Commentator for the Torino Winter Olympics and for BBC Radio Five Live for multiple EIHL Playoff Finals.
We were very lucky to have Brent Pope on-board in 2007 as Head Coach, he was excellent! Everyone who participated greatly benefitted from his considerable experience as a player and coach and enjoyed an unique opportunity to meet and be coached by one of the best known figures in British hockey and to find out what it is like to play at the top level.
Over each RHUK Inline Roller Hockey Camp, based at a large stone tile roofed rink with boards that we use each year in Barcelona, we cover a broad range of inline hockey skills essential to your game, whether you play at local team level or in the IIHF! We will also have plenty of scrimmages, some matches and an end of Camp tournament... not forgetting the chance for you to test yourself against the RHUK staff team!

We will also have the best goalie coaches available to deliver unequalled net minder coaching to all the goalies attending the Camp. Goalie coaches like Mark Cavallin, Andy Assa and Mark Law have done a brilliant job in previous years; every year we have net minders call us to tell our goalie coaches how well they are doing, with MVP awards and regional and national team selection.
RHUK aims to provide all goalies attending this combined RHUK Net Minding / Goal Minding Inline Roller Hockey Spanish Camp with the kind of specialist coaching that they simply can’t get anywhere else, whether within their own team, regionally or nationally.
As with all good coaching from NHL down, we go "back to basics" at the beginning of the Camp. Basics are everything in any sport, whether shooting a puck in hockey, practicing ball control in football or working on shooting skills in basketball. From "back to basics" we will build towards game play, helping you perfect your techniques and skills and then putting them in context of a game situation, playing with your team.
You will need to be reasonably fit for the Camp as you will be spending a lot of time in your skates, playing a lot of inline hockey (perhaps more roller hockey in a week than you normally do in a month!) but don't worry, we won't be making you run every morning or anything. Infact we won't be concentrating on stamina or fitness at all directly, those are things you can work on yourself. RHUK is not a boot camp! Coming on a RHUK Camp is all about you becoming better at the game, more skillful, more accurate, more tactical, more consistent, better able to read the play and to position yourself in offence and defence so you are a more effective member of your team.
At the same time we aim to have fun, to ensure you have an unforgettable time sharing your love of the game with lots of new friends. Off-rink there will be plenty of time for activities (bowling, swimming, films, internet etc), for seeing something of Barcelona, visiting the beaches, theme park etc!
